Treasures of Cleveland
On Thursday, October 7, approximately 200 friends of the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Ohio joined in supporting our mission and generously raised approximately $34,000.
“Treasures of Cleveland” was graciously hosted by The Plain Dealer’s minister of culture, Michael Heaton. The two-hour tribute to Cleveland celebrated the history of Cleveland’s arts, entertainment, and business community. The theme showcased the many facets of the Cleveland community that are unique—from the rich history reflected in the event’s landmark venue, The Union Club, to the appeal of Mr. Heaton's take on current happenings. The event celebrated the reasons Cleveland is "home."
A raffle featured packages from local chefs, including: Doug Katz (Fire Food & Drink), Dante Boccuzzi (Dante), Daniel and Patrick Conway (Great Lakes Brewing Company), Mrs. Lucia Fedeli (The Fedeli Group’s private La Cucina Italiana) and Bob Sferra (Culinary Occasions) and Jim Perko (Cleveland Clinic Executive Chef). Some chefs were on hand to meet guests and everyone received complimentary sweets from Chocolate Czar Dan Malley.
